False Eyelashes have been popular for a while. But it wasn't until this past year (and maybe a little bit before then) that I started observing their use in such abundance. Falsies are no longer reserved for the likes of Béyoncé and other media icons. Lashes have become so popular that it is now an advertised service at most nail salons.
I can't really see myself spending $2o dollars on something that I don't even know how long it will last gonna last and that I could do myself anyway. But if you're really trying to achieve that look and can't do it yourself, it might be worth it for you. M.A.C. has some really nice lashes that can be worn everyday (not that I would), and they also have some really dramatic lashes with feathers and other embellishments that can look really nice with the right makeup and the right type of occasion. If you find yourself addicted to the look (kinda' like people in the late 80's and 90's with lip liner moles) then I would definitely recommend Ardell individual lashes and some black adhesive. If you are experienced working with lashes I would recommend the "wispies."
In any event, I, for one, am glad that it seems as if lashes are here to stay for a while ;)
